PTA Fundraising Update March 2014

September 2013 – February 2014

To RHS parents, families, teachers and community members:  With the 2013-14 school year more than halfway complete, we are pleased to update you on our fundraising progress– from September 2013 through February 2014, the PTA has raised $114,580!  This is 72 percent of our school-year goal of $160K!  We are so grateful that our community has come together to ensure that Redwood Heights – and all of our students – continue to thrive.   We couldn’t have come this far without all of you, and your participation in our various RHS fundraising efforts.  From the PTA presidents, the school administration, and the PTA fundraising coordinator… Thank you!

Here are just some of the amounts raised for various efforts, as well as acknowledgement to the leads of these efforts:

As you can see, all efforts, regardless of proceeds, add up to make a difference.  Your contributions and support are crucial to sustaining the invaluable programs and practices that make Redwood Heights such a wonderful place for your child to learn and grow:

Academics – Mentors or teacher’s assistants, classroom materials and supplies, the library

Enrichment Programs – Art, Garden, Music, Science Fair, Scholarships and Technology

Social/Emotional and Safety – HUGS, teacher on special assignment, cafetorium and yard supervision

There are still more fundraising efforts to come this school year, like the May RHS Walkathon, the Yard Sale, and the Chinook Books campaign.  Together we can reach, and hopefully exceed, our goal!
